Survey’s targeted sample? 

All women in fertility age (15-49 years old) in Saudi Arabia. 

What does live birth mean? 

A live birth is a newborn showing any definite sign of life such as crying, breathing, or heartbeat whether he lives or dies. 


What does stillbirth mean?

It is defined as fetal who stayed in the mother belly for no less than (10-28) weeks, or who were born dead after 24 weeks of pregnancy, whether the death occurs before delivery or during it. It showed no sign of life after the mother's total separation. (Born without signs of life) .

The General Authority for Statistics places the confidentiality of the data collected and processed at the top of the priority list, in accordance with the kingdom’s Law of National Statistics, issued by Royal Decree No.: (23) dated 7/12/1379 AH, as well as in accordance with international standards. Through collecting data, GASTAT aims to produce official statistics that serve the public interest. This means that any personal data collected, whether about the same person or on behalf of another person, will be used for statistical purposes and to produce official statistics.
