Main Tasks:
Develop policies and procedures for banking supervision; ensure the banks’ compliance with the relevant regulations; and set policies to address violations.
Supervise the collection and validation of data, such as capital reserves, risk management policies, and compliance with the international standards and regulations.
Communicate with other stakeholders, such as central banks, monetary authorities, other national or international government institutions and banks operating in the country.
Identify the structural improvements required in the banking sector in order to increase the systemic stability and enhance consumer and investor protection.
Manage bank licenses; grant new licenses; and revoke existing licenses, as necessary.
