131101 - Agricultural Affairs Manager Participate in preparing the agricultural plans, programs and projects for the development of the agricultural sector; directly supervise the preparation of the operational plans related to the agricultural affairs, including the conduct of plant experiments and research, control the agricultural insects, diseases and pests; conduct soil surveys and classifications for the agricultural lands; document and disseminate the statistical information and data; and follow up and ensure compliance with the agricultural policies and adopted indicative and procedural manuals.
Main Tasks:
Participate in preparing the agricultural plans, programs and projects aimed at developing the agricultural sector; follow up the implementation processes; and ensure the commitment of the relevant authorities to the adopted policies and procedures.
Follow up the processes of collecting, documenting and disseminating the statistical information and data; and supervise the conduct of agricultural studies, experiments and researches to identify the most important species suitable for the local environmental conditions for cultivation to increase the area of the agricultural lands and green areas in the Kingdom.
Ensure the effective coordination by all the concerned bodies for the purposes of surveying and monitoring agricultural lands; ensure the control of various agricultural insects, diseases and pests that may affect agriculture; and ensure that the relevant information and data are collected, statisticalized and analyzed in the best modern scientific methods.
Follow up and direct the preparation of research and studies on agricultural projects; provide the results and technical recommendations to the immediate supervisor; manage and follow up the agricultural extension activities to ensure that the information and technical advice that is important to farmers is provided.
Follow up on the recent advancements in the methods and techniques of agriculture; give direction to adopt the most appropriate of them; and identify and ensure the availability of all resources and materials required for executing specialized works and activities, using the recent relevant methods and practices.
