134903 - Head of Municipality Participate in identifying municipality’s general plans and targets, for the purpose of development of respective regions, supervise managing and planning various municipal activities as per an approved executive plan, represent the same, coordinate with concerned bodies as regards the development, ensure the adherence to all approved laws and regulations, and issue decisions, directions and guidelines required for guaranteeing the provision of high-quality municipal services.
Main Tasks:
Supervise the development of the municipality’s general objectives and strategic plans, ensuring the development and organization of respective villages, in line with the strategic visions, priorities and developmental plans at Ministry of Municipal & Rural Affairs; and ensure the existence of the accurate frameworks and metrics by which the level of achieving these plans and objectives is determined.
Supervise the municipal projects, study and execute the general plans, follow-up-on all works and activities associated with the enhancement and development of appearance and hygiene of the respective municipality and villages, supervise the governmental lands and prevent any illegitimate breach.
Coordinate with the secretariat and concerned bodies; with a view to executing infrastructure projects, constructing and maintaining the public facilities like gardens and parks, well organize departments within the limit of municipality.
Supervise the processes of control over markets and shops, ensure their adherence to the approved standards and specifications, follow the provision of municipal services directly to citizens, inclusive of the issuance of various licenses and certificates.
Supervise the processes of preparing the general achievement reports and summaries; present these reports and summaries to the top competent authorities; inform these authorities of the various challenges and developments; and consult them about various strategic issues and the important future initiatives.
