134906 - Weather Forecasting and Environmental Monitoring Station Generally supervise the activities of the station’s work management, planning and organizing in accordance with the approved operational plans and executive programs; ، follow up all the related administrative processes; and ensure the availability of all the technical and human resources that ensure the flow of daily operations as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Main Tasks:
Supervise the preparation of operational plans pertaining the management of station, organize works and allocate the same among various teams, ensure the full compliance with the relevant laws and regulations approved by the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, follow up their implementation, and ensure the existence of accurate frameworks and metrics that enable the realization of the level of achievement of these plans and goals.
Supervise the flow of processes of procedures at observatory, ensure the full adherence to all policies and procedures, follow preparing reports and studies related to weather forecasting, earthquake monitor & analysis, air quality reports, monitoring upper atmosphere... etc.
Contact with other governmental bodies; with a view to coordinating common efforts and projects, provide them with charts and data on the forecasted weather, environmental reports and others, coordinate and exchange information of weather forecasts with the other states.
Take part in spreading community awareness in the field of weather forecasting, climatic changes and environment protection, participate in the specialized meetings and seminars, and provide recommendations on the best international practices and experiences in this field.
Prepare and review the special reports, present the same to the general Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection; brief the Authority on the latest developments; and provide the solutions or recommendations for various important future issues, initiatives and challenges.
