226405 - Artificial Limbs and Prosthetics Specialist Support the patients in need for artificial limbs; install the devices that control, direct and limit the movement; assist the patient in making certain types of movement; prepare documents and reports on artificial limbs and prosthetics; and keep them on their database, in accordance with the regulating policies and procedures.
Main Tasks:
Support the patients who have lost limbs after being involved in an accidents or suffering from a diseases that lead to the loss of limbs for medical reasons, or which may have been caused by birth defects.
Install the devices that control, direct, limit or stop the movement of a body joint, or restrict the movement in a particular direction.
Help the patient perform some movement patterns, or rectify the fractures after the removal of gypsum, or correct the shape or function of the body in order to facilitate the movement or reduce the pain.
Develop the work methods and procedures; and keep up with the developments in the field of artificial limbs and prosthetics.
Prepare and keep the documents and reports related to artificial limbs and prosthetics in the relevant database, in accordance with the regulating policies and procedures; and ensure the application of public safety principles and rules during conducting various artificial limbs and prosthetics works.
