235202 - Sign Language Teacher
Provide the technical support, instructions, tools and materials for teaching sign language to hearing-impaired students; and provide students and guardians with advice on hearing disability.
Main Tasks:
Develop lessons’ plans in line with the objectives; select sources; design the educational materials, lessons, other teaching methods and contents; and copy the words using the appropriate visual medium.
Teach students about how to use sign language and other non-verbal communication systems; give lessons and home assignments and organize the practical activities and trips.
Provide students and guardians with advice on how to improve the proficiency; deal with the hearing disability and contact with educational and medical services providers; to identify the developmental plans and priorities.
Cooperate with teachers and re-searchers; in order to devise new methods for guiding and supporting people with hearing disabilities.
Educate the public on the hearing disability in general; utilizing sign language as well as similar communication systems.
