Prepare and develop the museum collections classification manuals; develop a specialized database for the collections; prepare the distribution chart of the museum's collections; follow up the collections maintenance and restoration process; and prepare, present and keep the specialized documents and reports related to the museums field.
Main Tasks:
Study the international museum collections classification bases and rules and use them in the preparation and development of the national museums’ collections classification manuals; and create and index a card for each item with the name, type, nature and age such item belongs to printed on the card, according to the followed classification rules.
Develop a specialized database containing the names of the items and collections of the museum in a scientific and systematic way that makes it easier to find.
Prepare and develop the distribution chart for the museum's collections.
Follow up museum's collections conservation, maintenance and restoration.
Prepare the specialized documents and reports related to museums; and produce, present, clarify and keep the appropriate recommendations and solutions on the relevant database, according to the approved policies and procedures.
