Develop the health records indexes and storage and retrieval systems; process the medical data; review the records to ensure data accuracy and completeness; apply the systems for analyzing the stored medical data; and prepare, present and keep the specialized documents and reports related to the medical informatics field.
Main Tasks:
Develop, operate and maintain the health records indexes and storage and retrieval systems, according to the regulating policies and procedures.
Process the medical data, such as patient records and hospital admission and discharge documents, to keep it in the record-keeping systems.
Review the records to ensure data accuracy and completeness; and follow up in case of errors or inconsistencies.
Apply the systems to analyze the stored medical data; and provide support and information to the administrative units for the purposes of data analysis, in accordance with the work plans.
Prepare the specialized documents and reports related to medical informatics; provide the appropriate recommendations and solutions; and display, clarify, and maintain them on the corresponding database, as per the approved policies and procedures..
