262107 - Health Informatics Specialist

Develop the health records indexes and storage and retrieval systems; process the medical data; review the records to ensure data accuracy and completeness; apply the systems for analyzing the stored medical data; and prepare, present and keep the specialized documents and reports related to the medical informatics field.

Main Tasks:
  • Develop, operate and maintain the health records indexes and storage and retrieval systems, according to the regulating policies and procedures.
  • Process the medical data, such as patient records and hospital admission and discharge documents, to keep it in the record-keeping systems.
  • Review the records to ensure data accuracy and completeness; and follow up in case of errors or inconsistencies.
  • Apply the systems to analyze the stored medical data; and provide support and information to the administrative units for the purposes of data analysis, in accordance with the work plans.
  • Prepare the specialized documents and reports related to medical informatics; provide the appropriate recommendations and solutions; and display, clarify, and maintain them on the corresponding database, as per the approved policies and procedures..
