Apply scientific methods to conserve and restore paintings and other artworks; monitor the artistic collections storage and exhibition environment; and control them to prevent deterioration.
Main Tasks:
Check the paintings visually and with scientific tools such as X-rays, infrared imaging and microscopic analysis; and identify the deterioration range in paintings and its causes.
Keep records on full preservation; write notes about the paintings status and their restoration date.
Monitor, store and control the exhibition conditions; and maintain painting in stable conditions.
Propose solutions to prevent paintings decomposition; maintain their real nature; estimate the costs; and identify the relevant risks.
Re-finish in line with the accurate history of artwork, such as mixture of traditional paintings at the outset.
