313101 - Power Plant Operator

Operate, monitor and maintain distribution boards and equipment, and control power distribution.

Main Tasks:

Operate, regulate and produce power distribution boards as per demand.

Monitor measuring instruments and meters readings; ensure that power supplies remain within the preset acceptable limits, and take corrective action, if required.

Prepare reports on equipment’s safety and reliability.

Perform routine inspections included within preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns and potential damage; and take corrective actions.

Clean, lubricate and calibrate service equipment; perform basic maintenance; prepare reports on breakdowns, and submit the same to maintenance technicians or mechanics.
