315208 - Marine Observer
Regulate movement of inbound and outbound ships; assist ships’ captain in heading to port and anchoring; listen to radio for emergencies; prepare and submit work reports.
Main Tasks:
Follow-up and monitor anchored, inbound and outbound ships by monitoring marine radar’s screen.
Determine ships’ locations at sea, direction, sailing speed and specifications.
Assist ship’s captain in determination of waiting locations, time of inbound, time of guide boarding, number of required tugboats, wharf number and berthing location; inform guide of berthing time; inform tugboats and anchoring workers; determine berthing location.
Listen to radio; provide the captain with weather and naval conditions in travel route; respond to SOS situations, and organize relief teams work.
