The census is a "comprehensive" project that will cover the entire population, and with the support of government agencies it will include difficult-to-reach areas, Al-Fuhaid says.

The director of the Saudi Census Project 2020, Mr. Fahad al-Fuhaid, confirmed that according to the executive plan that the Authority is working on for the Saudi Census Project 2020. The Census will collect data of all population in all the regions of Saudi Arabia. This will be done through cooperation between the General Authority for Statistics and the relevant authorities by using all possible capabilities; like communication equipment, Helicopters particularly in the rough terrain and large deserts such as the Empty Quarter and Al-nofoud where cars are difficult to use in such areas.

He shed light on the importance of the "Saudi Census 2020" project and the desired results in supporting decision and policy makers, and the importance of integrating work between households and individuals whose data will be collected and field researchers, so the General Authority for Statistics has harnessed all its human and technical capabilities to implement the national project with more than 60 thousand human  personnel who are well-trained to make it a success, achieve its desired results, and contribute in the national development.

It should be noted that the fifth census of population, housing and establishments "Saudi Census 2020", which will start on Tuesday evening, March 17th, 2020, which is the beginning of the actual enumeration of "Time reference night", will provide a base and wide range of statistical data to be used as a reliable reference for conducting studies and research required by development programs and plans in the Kingdom and achieving Saudi Vision 2030, in addition to providing statistical data and indicators to measure the change in population characteristics over time, conduct local, regional and international comparisons, and review Assessment of future population estimates.
