Due to the increased number of statistical data users, the Central Department of Statistical & Information (CDSI) has decided to publish a  summary statistical bulletin, namely, the Statistical Indicator, which is easy to handle and can be distributed on a wide scale.

 The first issue of the Statistical Indicator was published in 1396 A.H (1976 A.D), including 10 chapters: weather conditions, employment in private establishments, agriculture, petroleum & industry, trade & finance, transport & communications, education, health services, social services, pilgrimage, and population. In continuation of updating and developing the Statistical Indicator, the CDSI has amended chapters of education, health and agriculture in its 31st issue while the 32nd issue, which is the latest one of the Statistical Indicator, has included 12 chapters by adding two new chapters: energy & water, and labor market.

CDSI welcomes any constructive proposals, comments and feedback that would be helpful in improving, updating and developing this publication.
