First: The survey aims to create a broad database and use it as a reliable basis for conducting studies and research and providing new and up-to-date indicators on agricultural production. The main objectives of the survey are: • Provide data on cultivated area, the quantity of production, lost quantity, self-consumed quantity, sold production, crop prices at the farm gate for field crops (cereals and feed), and open field vegetables by crop type, crop condition, irrigation method and agricultural season. • Provide data on cultivated area, the number of greenhouses, the quantity of production, lost quantity, self-consumed quantity, sold production, crop prices at farm gate for greenhouse vegetable crops and cut flowers by crop type, crop condition and greenhouse type. • Provide data on the total number and quantity of production, lost production, self-consumed and sold production in addition to palm trees’ prices at the farm gate and the number of fruitful palm trees by type of palm tree and irrigation method. • Provide data on the total number and quantity of production, lost production, self-consumed and sold production in addition to evergreens except for palm trees and the number fruitful evergreens by type and irrigation method. • Provide data on livestock (sheep, goats, camels and cows) in terms of species, breed, age, gender, quantity and value of production, lost quantity, self-consumed quantity, sold quantity, number of births and deaths. • Provide data on the number of domestic poultry by type, number and value of the sold ones, as well as the production of eggs for chickens. • Provide data on the number of beehives, the quantity of production, the quantity of lost, the self-consumed quantity, the sold production and the sale price of honey at the farm gate by type of beehive. • Provide data on the quantity and value of agricultural supplies used during the year of the agricultural surveys and provide data on the uses of agricultural holdings’ lands. Second: Create a broad database and use it as a reliable basis for conducting studies and research of agricultural activity in Saudi Arabia.
