Wholesale price index
A statistical index that monitors the movements of goods prices at the initial (wholesale) stage in the Kingdom’s markets by calculating the Wholesale Price Index. It measures the monthly and annual changes in prices of local and imported goods in primary markets (wholesale markets), and the results are published on a monthly basis.
Umrah and Madinah Visit Survey
A statistical survey conducted by GASTAT since 2016. It collects and provides data on internal Umrah performers and visitors to Madinah This is done by completing an electronic questionnaire containing several questions, in communication with a representative sample of households in various administrative regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.".
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)Access and Utilization for Establishments
A statistical survey targeting a sample of establishments representing various economic activities in different regions of Saudi Arabia, collecting data on the extent of access to and use of information and communication technology (ICT) by establishments.
Average Prices of Goods and Services
An economic indicator that presents the average level and the annual and monthly rates of change in the prices of a defined basket of goods and services representing the main consumer products for households, as well as selected construction materials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, over a specified period compared with the preceding period. Results are published on a monthly basis.
Industrial Production Survey
A monthly survey conducted on a sample of establishments operating in targeted industrial activities, including mining and quarrying, manufacturing, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, as well as water supply, sewage, waste management, and remediation activities.
Business Confidence Index Survey
The Business Confidence Index is considered one of the most important leading and forward-looking economic indicators. It provides a set of benchmark indicators that reflect the level of optimism among business establishments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding their current conditions and future performance expectations. This is based on establishments’ assessments of inputs and outputs, employment, business development, and expansion.

Measuring the change in construction cost prices over two time periods for a basket of building materials and construction services
Producer price index
An economic indicator that reflects the relative changes in domestic product prices based on data from the producer price survey. which is carried out on a sample of industrial establishments that operate in the targeted industrial activities represented in the activity: Mining and quarrying - manufacturing - electricity and gas supply - water supply - sanitation activities - and waste management and treatment.
Household Expenditure Survey
The Household Income and Expenditure Survey is one of the field-based household surveys conducted in the field of social statistics. It provides data on income, spending patterns in society, and the impact of demographic, social, and economic factors on households.
Producing Individuals Survey
This survey measures the economic activities carried out by individuals on their own account, outside the formal framework of registered establishments, without a legal entity or fixed workplace. It aims to estimate the size of the informal economy and monitor the contribution of independent individuals to GDP.
Fixed Capital Assets
An annual economic survey aimed at measuring the size and changes in fixed assets owned by business sector establishments over a specified period, in accordance with standard classifications of asset types. The survey provides detailed data on depreciation, disposals, and additions to fixed assets. It also contributes to estimating the volume of fixed capital assets used in the economy, measuring the structure of the business sector in terms of asset distribution and investment patterns, supporting the compilation of national accounts, and providing key indicators that help monitor capital investments and analyze their impact on economic development.
Riyadh Household Demographic Survey
Collecting accurate and up-to-date data for 2026 on the population residing within the development protection boundaries of Riyadh, covering various demographic, social, and other related indicators. The project aims to enable the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) to achieve sustainable urban planning and make strategic decisions based on reliable data, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of life for the city’s residents by providing precise information that supports the design of policies and public services.
Service Production Index
A monthly survey conducted on a sample of establishments operating in a number of economic activities, including wholesale and retail trade and motor vehicle and motorcycle repair; transportation and storage; accommodation and food service activities; information and communication; financial and insurance activities; real estate activities; professional, scientific, and technical activities; administrative and support services; education; human health and social work activities; and arts, entertainment, and recreation, in addition to other service activities.
Consumer Price Index
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is defined as a statistical measure of the price movements of a fixed basket of goods and services that represent consumption expenditure patterns during a specific period of time compared to the reference period.
Consumer Sentiment Index
An index that measures the extent of changes in the level of optimism or pessimism of consumers toward the economy in the near future, through an economic survey on the opinions, views and conditions of consumers that are concerned with the current conditions in addition to their expectations of the upcoming economic conditions.
Foreign Direct Investment
An investment that reflects a long-term relationship and a permanent interest of economic entities that exist in economiesy other than the Saudi economy. This means that the foreign investor owns 10% or more of the shareholders' equity, which enables the foreign investor to exercise some kind of influence on the decision-making process in a way that serves its interests. Thus, this process is described as foreign direct investment.
Food security survey
The Food Security Survey measures the moderate or severe difficulties faced by the head of the household (family leader) and their family in obtaining food.
Short-term business statistics
The Short-Term Business Statistics product is one of the economic statistical products designed to measure the short-term performance of the various sectors of the economy through monthly indicators that track developments and growth rates for each sector. The product covers all economic activities in establishments operating within the business sector.
Labor Force Survey
The Household Survey is conducted by the General Authority for Statistics, where data is collected through communication with a representative sample of Saudi and non-Saudi residents in all administrative regions of the Kingdom.
Structural Business Statistics Survey
It is considered one of the most important economic statistics conducted by GASTAT, as this survey provides statistics on establishments that are engaged in various economic activities along with the structure of the economic sector in Saudi Arabia. These statistics include the number of employees and their compensation, expenses, revenues, and capital formation.
