كرم الدكتور فهد بن عبدالله الدوسري رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء فريق مشروع التحول لأساس الاستحقاق المحاسبي في الهيئة الذي استكمل متطلبات التحول و المراحل الرئيسية له، والذي ساهم في تحول الهيئة لمبدأ المحاسبة على أساس الاستحقاق والمشاركة في إصدار أول مركز مالي موحد على مستوى الدولة. الجدير بالذكر أن مشروع التحول إلى أساس الاستحقاق المحاسبي وتطبيق معايير المحاسبة الدولية في القطاع العام يعد من المبادرات المنبثقة عن برنامج التحول الوطني والتي تتبناها وزارة المالية ممثلةً في وكالة الوزارة للشئون المالية والحسابات، وسيساعد المشروع في توفير معلومات مكتملة ودقيقة وملائمة التوقيت عن المركز المالي، ونتائج الأنشطة والتدفقات النقدية للجهات، وتعزيز الرقابة على الإيرادات والمصروفات والأصول والالتزامات، وتطوير الإدارات المالية في الجهات الحكومية ودعم اتخاذ القرارات.
