أكثر من 470 باحث إحصائي بدأت أعمالهم فجر اليوم الهيئة العامة للإحصاء تُباشر عمليات حصر الحجاج لموسم حج 1439هـ بدأت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء أعمال حصر الحجاج القادمين إلى مكة فجر اليوم الأحد الأول من ذي الحجة 1439هـ عن طريق أكثر من 470 باحث إحصائي وإداري وفني من منسوبي الهيئة موزعين على كافة المراكز الرئيسة في مكة المكرمة، والمدنية المنورة، وجدة والطائف، ويمتد عملهم يوميًا على مدار الـ ( 24 ساعة ) حتى مغيب شمس يوم عرفة الإثنين القادم التاسع من شهر ذي الحجة ، و أبانت الهيئة بأنَّ عملية جمع البيانات من الحجاج تتم عن طريق استيفاء البيانات في استمارة إلكترونية خلال زمن قصير وبشكل سريع ، حيث تشمل البيانات التي يتم استيفاءها : عدد الحجاج ، والجنس ، والجنسية ، وجهة القدوم ، ونوع المركبة . ودعت الهيئة جميع الحجاج القادمين إلى مكة المكرمة للحج هذا العام إلى تقديم البيانات الإحصائية المطلوبة في كافة مراكز حصر أعداد الحجاج وهي: مركز طريق (مكة / جدة السريع ) و مركز طريق (مكة / جدة القديم) ومركز التنعيم (الطريق الواصل بين المدينة المنورة ومكة المكرمة) ومركز الشرائع (الطريق الواصل بين مكة المكرمة والطائف مروراً بالسـيل) ومركز الكر (الطريق الواصل بين مكة المكرمة والطائف مروراً بالهدا) و مركز الجنوب (طريق الليث – جازان بالقرب من قرية السعدية) إضافة إلى مراكز إحصاءات الحج المُساندة في مركز جدة (طريق مكة المكرمة/ جدة السريع) في كلٍّ من مطار الملك عبد العزيز الدولي، ومحطة النقل الجماعي، إضافة إلى بعض المواقع الأخرى بمدينة جدة، ومركز المدينة (أبيار علي) ومركز الطائف(السيل الكبير).
