عقدت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء جلسة حوارية بعنوان: «نبض الأرقام: البيانات الإحصائية في خدمة الصحة» وذلك ضمن فعاليات “الطريق إلى الرياض”، بمشاركة نخبة من القيادات والخبراء من الهيئة العامة للإحصاء ووزارة الصحة وهيئة الصحة العامة والمكتب الإقليمي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لشرق المتوسط.

وناقشت الجلسة الدور المحوري للبيانات الإحصائية في دعم اتخاذ القرار في القطاع الصحي، من خلال تعزيز جودة المؤشرات الصحية وموثوقيتها، وتطوير ممارسات حوكمة البيانات، ورفع مستوى التكامل بين الجهات ذات العلاقة، بما يسهم في تحسين كفاءة التخطيط الصحي. كما تناولت الجلسة دور التقنيات المتقدمة في تطوير الأنظمة الصحية، وتحسين الوصول إلى البيانات، حيث استعرض المشاركون أبرز التجارب والممارسات في هذا المجال.

كما تطرق المشاركون إلى الاستثمار في التقنيات الحديثة وما أحدثه من نقلة نوعية في تحليل البيانات الصحية، ودور الذكاء الاصطناعي الذي أصبح عنصرًا محوريًا في دعم اتخاذ القرار الصحي المبني على البيانات.

ونوه المشاركون بما حققته المملكة من مستويات متقدمة من الاعتراف الدولي بجودة البيانات الصحية، وأشاروا إلى أن تحسين جودة بيانات الوفيات أسهم في رفع متوسط العمر، مبينين أن البيانات الصحية أسهمت في إعادة تشكيل فهم الواقع الصحي في المملكة بشكل أكثر شمولية، من خلال التكامل بين البيانات الإحصائية والسجلات الإدارية ودور المسوح الميدانية في تمثيل السكان بشكل أكثر دقة.

The session is part of “Road to Riyadh” event series, organized in preparation for Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the 6th UNWDF, scheduled to take place in Riyadh next November.
This session is part of efforts to strengthen the role of statistical data in supporting the national healthcare system by enhancing the quality and reliability of health statistics and advancing data governance practices, thereby improving the efficiency of health-related decision-making and strengthening the sector’s ability to respond to emerging health challenges.
The session addresses several key themes, including the role of advanced technologies in shaping the future of healthcare, strengthening the measurement of health indicators to support sustainable development, and improving access to and governance of health data. The session features several leaders and experts, including Dr. Abdullah Mufreh Asiri, Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Rabiah, Eng. Saad Abdulatif Alhuzami, Dr. Ada Mohammed Al-Qunaibet, Dr. Omar Saleh Aldibasi, and Dr. Arash Rashidian. The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) held today its quarterly virtual workshop titled “A Development Journey: Consumer Price Index (Inflation Index),” which reflects the changes in prices paid by consumers for goods and services. This comes as part of “Road to Riyadh” events, with the participation of a number of specialists and stakeholders in the statistical and economic fields.
The workshop, which featured Abdulaziz Alshaikh, director of the Price Statistics Department at GASTAT, and Dr. Miaad Alqurashi, an economic expert, reviewed the developmental journey of the CPI. It emphasized the importance of periodic updates and revisions to the index, as well as showcased its development areas and stages in a manner that reflects economic changes and consumption patterns, thereby enhancing the index’s accuracy and reliability. The workshop also provided a detailed overview of the chain-linking methodology used to connect the consumer basket weights. In addition, it highlighted the use of artificial intelligence in developing the index.
This workshop is part of GASTAT’s ongoing efforts to enhance awareness of statistical practices and to further develop economic indicators, thereby supporting economic policymaking and improving the efficiency of development planning.
