An economic indicator that presents the average level and the annual and monthly rates of change in the prices of a defined basket of goods and services representing the main consumer products for households, as well as selected construction materials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, over a specified period compared with the preceding period. Results are published on a monthly basis.

Measuring international trade transactions between residents and non-residents to obtain payments and receipts for services and to provide statistical data that feeds the services item of the main accounts in the balance of payments of Saudi Arabia.
