Plan, direct and coordinate the consumer and investor protection strategy and activities; and monitor and inspect shops, markets and institutions to detect the potential cases of fraud and price manipulation.
Main Tasks:
Develop the policies and procedures related to consumer and investor protection; and set the policies regarding the violations.
Manage inspections on shops, markets and institutions; supervise the collection and validation of data, such as prices and quantities; and ensure the compliance with the international standards and regulations.
Review the inspection reports; identify the violations against the consumer and investor protection policies; and take the corrective actions, such as fines or legal actions.
Identify and promote the structural improvements in the market in order to increase transparency and enhance consumer and investor protection.
Contact with the stakeholders, such as public and private institutions, and international organizations; and collect the observations and recommendations to improve the standards of consumer and investor protection.
