131104 - Livestock Affairs Manager
Participate in the preparation of plans and programs aimed at the development of the livestock sector; and directly supervise the preparation of the operational plans related to the livestock development, conservation and prevention from disease; manage and organize the awareness and extension programs for livestock, poultry and birds breeders in accordance with the adopted policies, guidelines and procedures.
Main Tasks:
Participate in preparing the plans and programs aimed at developing the livestock sector; follow up the implementation processes; and ensure the commitment of the relevant authorities to the adopted policies and procedures.
Follow up the processes of collecting, documenting and disseminating the information and statistical data related to the nature of animals and birds; analyze and study their locations and dates of gathering; define the possibility of their development and production to help achieve good levels of food security in the Kingdom.
Ensure the effective coordination with all the concerned parties for the purpose of managing and inventorying the various locations of livestock; ensure that the relevant information and data are collected, considered and analyzed in the best modern scientific methods.
Follow up and direct the preparation of researches and studies on livestock projects aimed at studying and determining the levels of demand, indicators of production ,and surplus; and encourage investment in the areas of livestock at the local, regional and international level.
Follow up on the recent advancements related to livestock management and care; give directions to adopt the most appropriate of them; and identify and ensure the availability of all resources and materials required for executing specialized works and activities, using the recent relevant methods and practices.
