263201 - Antiquities Specialist Determine the ways and means of maintenance and conservation of antiquities; determine the information and data sources on the archaeological and historical sites; accompany the research and antiquities excavating teams; analyze the antiquities and determine their age; and prepare, present and keep the specialized documents and reports related to the antiquities field.
Main Tasks:
Conduct the specialized studies and analyses on antiquities to determine the best ways and means to maintain and conserve them.
Determine the necessary information and data sources on the archaeological and historical sites; and select the best ways, tools and methods to ensure collection, organization, management and analysis of such information and data.
Implement the specialized processes, projects and initiatives; harness the knowledge and technical expertise; accompany the research and excavating teams; and direct the excavation processes, according to the collected data and information .
Analyze the found antiquities; determine their date and the inscriptions engraved on them; translate these inscriptions into Arabic; and prepare the relevant technical reports; ensure that all analyses and rationales supporting the results are provided.
Prepare the specialized documents and reports related to antiquities; and produce, present, clarify and keep the appropriate recommendations and solutions on the relevant database, according to the approved policies and procedures.
