313203 - Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator
Operate, monitor and maintain control wastewater treatment plant’s systems and machines for monitoring plant’s production; check equipment, and monitor operational conditions.
Main Tasks:
Operate wastewater treatment control systems and filter (remove) pollutants for production of freshwater.
Monitor control processes and systems, ensure that water supplies’ quality and volume remain within the preset acceptable limits, and take corrective action, if required.
Perform routine inspections related to preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns and potential damage; and take corrective actions.
Perform basic maintenance of defected or damaged parts, prepare reports on breakdowns for maintenance technicians or mechanics, and test equipment upon repair thereof.
Comply with safety procedures.
