Environment statistics of household sector are very important since they are one of the essential means to assess the environment in Saudi Arabia. The survey seeks to achieve a number of objectives, most importantly: 1. Provide data of environment statistics that assist in calculating some of the sustainable development indicators related to environment based on international definitions of these indicators. 2. Provide statistical data that serve the release of environment statistics report which is based on the UN framework 2013. 3. Provide data that help in calculating climate change indicators and emissions resulted from energy use in the dwellings. 4. Provide water and waste data that assist in completing international questionnaires of the United Nations Statistics Division, which are required to be filled periodically. 5. Environmental awareness in water and energy supply resources through the use of energy and water saving devices, in addition to awareness in the field of waste sorting and environmental education as well as the best methods for electronic wastes disposal. 6. Provide an environmental database to support decision-makers in taking appropriate environmental policies.
