Participate in setting the main objectives and strategies for the Region Municipality; manage and direct the efforts of studying and identifying the needs and priorities for the development of the Region Municipality; directly supervise the work of the organizational subordinate units of the region Municipality; take specialized decisions; direct and follow up the progress of various daily operations in line with the general strategy and main objectives of the Region Municipality.

Main Tasks:
  • Participate in the development of the Region Municipality’s main strategies and objectives in accordance with the strategies of the Region Municipality; generally supervise a specific activity or public affairs or a geographic scope within the Municipality; and follow-up the flow of the operations and procedures as well as the level of the provided services.
  • Contribute to the management, direction and execution of the Municipality’s strategic objectives through the issuance of the administrative, organizational and technical instructions, circulars and decisions related to the management of the operations of the organizational subordinate units with the aim to implement the developed plans, programs and objectives.
  • Study and identify the needs and priorities for the development of the Municipality and its affiliated sub-municipalities; follow-up the execution and provision of the municipal services and housing, cleaning and infrastructure projects with the aim to achieve comprehensive growth of the Region; provide a safe and developed environment; and ensure the provision of all the resources that are necessary to provide such environment.
  • Represent and acting on behalf of the Region Municipality in events, meetings and conferences with the various concerned members of the community in the Region and identify their needs, requirements and observations on the level of the services provided by the Municipality and its organizational subordinate units.
  • Supervise the preparation of reports about the achievements and activities of the organizational subordinate units; present such reports to the senior leadership of the Municipality; brief the senior leadership on the various challenges and developments; and provide solutions and recommendations for various strategic issues and important future initiatives.
